Hadassah, the largest women's Zionist organization, is a volunteer organization that inspires a passion for and commitment to its partnership with the land and people of Israel. It enhances the health of people worldwide through its support of medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) in Jerusalem. Hadassah empowers its members and supporters, as well as youth in Israel and America through opportunities for personal growth, education, advocacy and Jewish continuity.
Hadassah celebrated its 100th birthday in 2012 with the opening of the new Sarah Wetsman Davisdon Hospital Tower in Jerusalem. This impressive facility joins the Hadassah Medical Organization in providing state-of-the-art medical care to over one million patients a year regardless of race, religion or nationality. HMO is internationally renowned for it pioneering medical research, which benefits people in every corner of the world.
The Savannah Chapter has been in existence since 1926 and through our programming and fundraising, successfully raised funds to sponsor a Medication Room in the Tower in 2012.
Locally, all of our social hours, educational programs and mitzvah projects are free except our annual springtime fundraiser, Hadassah Presents. Join us in our Hadassah Room at the JEA alternate Wednesday afternoons (4:15-5:15 pm) and "Chat Hadassah" with us!
