Scholar-in-Residence Shabbat

Friday, May 5th at 6 pm & Saturday, May 6th at 11 am

Featuring journalist, historian and author, Marc Leepson.

Mr. Leepson is the author of nine books including Saving Monticello: the Levy Family's Epic Quest to Rescue the House that Jefferson Built.

Uriah Phillips Levy is the great, great grandson of Dr. Samuel Nunez. He purchased Monticello from Jefferson's family and is credited with restoring it. Uriah Phillips Levy and Monticello are a featured exhibit in the Mickve Israel museum.

Saving Monticello will be a primary focus of Marc Leepson's talks with us on Saturday. The topic for Friday's talk is to be announced.
