Elliot Chodoff
Mr. Chodoff has spoken in Savannah twice previously and is returning due to popular demand. He is a political and military analyst specializing in the Middle East conflict and the global war on terrorism. His articles have appeared in the Washington Times, National Post of Canada, In the National Interest, and Front Page Magazine, and numerous web journals. He has presented and published papers on the subjects of Deterrance and US Military Manpower policy, Cultural Relativism and Nuclear Deterrance Policy in the Middle East, Israel's Changing Defense Posture Following the 1982 Invasion of Lebanon, and Terrorists' Use of Modern Information Technology.

Kimberly Strassel is an author and member of the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board based in Washington, DC. A well-known conservative author and writer, she writes a weekly column, "Potomac Watch." She has appeared on numerous TV shows including The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, CNN and CNBC.
The Final Four: A Professional Analysis
Bob Weinhauer began his professional career as a teacher and coach in Massapequa, NY. He remained on staff for 12 years before leaving to join Chuck Daly on the basketball staff of the University of Pennsylvania. As Penn's Head Coach in 1979, he lead his team to a Final Four. He then went on to coach at Arizona State University. His NBA career began with the Philadelphia 76ers, followed by coaching positions with the Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves. In 1993 he bacame GM of the Houston Rockets, earning back-to-back NBA championships. He finished his NBA career as GM of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Dave Smith is a nationally recognized innovator in sports journalism. He is the founder and a past president of the AP Sports Editors Association and a recipient of the most prestigious honor in his field, the Red Smith Award (1990). Mr. Smith was inducted into the Halls of Fame for TX Baseball, Pro Rodeo, and New England Basketball for his contributions to the sports as a member of the media.

David Lowe
"Was Churchill Right About Democracy?"
David E. Lowe is the VP for Government and External Relations at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a U.S. foundation that promotes democracy in over 90 countries around the world. In this capacity he heads the President's Office which is responsible for outreach to Capitol Hill, as well as the Endowment's government and media realtions, publications, events and Board-related activities.
Lowe holds MA and PhD. degrees from Johns Hopkins and a BA from Brandeis. He has been an adjunct faculty member at George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management and a lecturer on the U.S. Congress for the Graduate School of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Jane Nangle & CJ Washington
The Pine Woods Project and Independent Living
Retired healthcare attorney and mental health advocate, Jane Nangle has spearheaded the Pine Woods Project in Savannah.
She and Project Director, CJ Washington, will talk about their quest to provide independent living opportunities for those in our community with severe mental challenges.
They will also describe their work to educate people about the frequency, severity, and treatment of schizophrenia spectrum disorders and major depressive disorders.
Avi Jorisch
"Islamic Theology Philosophy and its Meaning in World Geopolitcs"
Avi Jorisch is a Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. Mr. Jorisch is also the founder of the Red Cell Intelligence Group, a consulting and training firm that specializes in national security issues relating to terrorism, illicit finance and radical Islam. Mr. Jorisch has also been interviewed by more than 50 media outlets including CNN, ABC News, Fox News, the New York Times and numerous Arabic publications, to comment on terrorism-related matters, including al-Manar and its role in inciting terrorism throughout the world.

John Morrison
After a long and storied career in academia, John Morrison became Dean of a technical college in Phoenix, AZ. During his tenure, John designed 5 degree granting programs, constructed one of the first-ever online training programs, participated on several accreditation committees, and became a national speaker for CADD and Virtual Reality.
In 1995, John returned to Seattle and founded a technology company that invented and created software to track terrorism, fraud, and criminal ring activity. He sold the software venture to a database company which was acquired by ChoicePoint Inc. The technology he created played a key role in assisting many government agencies with their investigations following the 9/11 tragedy.
