Our area is referred to as “The Coastal Empire” for its beautiful waterways, but it is also considered a “City of Festivals.” Some include the Savannah Jewish Film Festival, Jewish Food Festival, Asian Festival, and Black Heritage Festival. In early winter we feature one of the country’s largest MLK Parades, and weeks later, we feature the second largest St Patrick’s Day parade in the country. Other important festivals include the Savannah Music Festival (featuring three weeks of local, national and international artists), Shakespeare-in-the-Park and many others.

We have a very active and diverse community that caters to the needs of longtime Savannahians, as well as newcomers. The Savannah Jewish community has been actively attracting residents since 1733! Each wave of citizens enriches our population and keeps us strong and vibrant. Our efforts to attract new families are aimed at keeping the programming and Jewish life at the apex that we have come to expect. It is often said, “The Savannah Jewish community is a small one that acts like a large city.” Even those with “big city” roots will find professional, religious and cultural opportunities in our community.

We have wonderful weather, magnificent homes, elegant apartments, senior facilities, gated communities - whatever your style of life, we have affordable choices for everyone. Savannah provides a wonderful place to raise children, is a great place to work and is a fun stimulating place to retire. What a combination!
