Israel and Me Oral History Project

January 15 - April 15 at the JEA

Tell your stores as a gift to Israel and Savannah! Come in and have your story of connection to the land of Israel become part of our Savannah history. Stories from pre-statehood to recent adventures will be selected for a mini-documentary film to be shown on May 18th. Sponsored by MorningStar Cultural Arts Group.

Children of Jerusalem Exhibit

January 6 - February 22 at Bull Street Library

A multi-media, multi-cultural exhibit with a speaker series to follow. This powerful exhibit, which is free and open to the public, features original art created by Israeli and Palestinian children and teaches valuable lessons about peace, respect and friendship. The paintings demonstrate how art can build a bridge between people and across cultural, religious and political divides. Co-sponsored by Live Oak Public Library.

Israeli Film Series

Resumes January 10 and every other Thursday to follow at the JEA

Award winning films from various perspectives. Sponsored by Nancy and Lawrence Gutstein

Israeli Dance Classes

Resumes January 17 and every other Thursday to follow at the JEA

Fast paced fun for all levels of dancers or want-to-be dancers. Taught by Lorena Rother. Free for JEA members; Only $5 per session for non-members.

JEA Speaker's Series

Saturday, February 2 at the JEA: 7:30pm

Back by popular demand, Elliot Chodoff, last year's inaugural speaker, will again provide a thought-provoking evening setting the background for the Current Scene in the Middle East. Funded in part through the Phillip Hoffman Memorial Fund.
